Privacy policy

Flatly Tracker is a notebook for rental apartment hunting on iOS and Android. Listings, costs, notes and photos are stored on the device. The only data that leaves the phone is what is needed to import a listing, product analytics events and crash reports, as described below.

What this policy covers: This policy covers the Flatly Tracker mobile app for iOS and Android (published in Polish as Mieszkanko) and this website. The data controller is the developer of the app, Mateusz Woźniak, reachable at matisiek11@gmail.com.
Data stored on the device: Listings with their title, link, phone number, address, costs, status, notes, pros and cons, photos and viewing dates are stored in a local database on the device. On iOS the database can additionally be synchronised through iCloud Drive to the same Apple account; the developer has no access to that container. Uninstalling the app removes the local database; iCloud copies follow the Apple account.
Importing a listing: When a link is pasted or screenshots are picked, that link or those images are sent to the developer's server at apartments.mateuszwozniak.com. The server fetches the listing page and passes its content, or the screenshots, to Anthropic's API to extract the title, price, area, rooms, floor and address. The extracted data is returned to the app and is not stored on the server after the response. Requests are logged with a timestamp and, in case of an error, the error message, for up to thirty days.
Calendar: With permission, viewings and call-back dates are written to the phone calendar as events. The app reads those events only to update or remove them; other calendar entries are not read.
Location and maps: Addresses are converted to coordinates with the operating system geocoder. The map is rendered by Google Maps, which receives the map tiles requested and the device's IP address under Google's own privacy policy. With permission, the device location is used only to centre the map; it is not stored.
Photos: With permission, photos picked from the library or taken with the camera are copied into the app's own storage on the device. They are not uploaded, except screenshots explicitly picked for import.
Product analytics: The app uses Mixpanel to understand how its features are used. Mixpanel is configured with EU data residency, so events are sent to Mixpanel servers in the European Union. Events cover in-app actions such as opening a screen, changing a status, adding a viewing or starting an import, together with a pseudonymous installation identifier, app version, device model, operating system version and language. Listing content — titles, addresses, prices, phone numbers, notes and photos — is never included in analytics events.
Crash reports: The app and the import server use Sentry to record crashes and errors. A report contains the stack trace, app version, device model, operating system version and the time of the crash. Reports are stored on Sentry servers in the European Union and retained for ninety days.
Third parties: Processors involved: Anthropic (listing extraction), Google LLC (Google Maps), Mixpanel (product analytics, EU servers), Sentry (crash reports, EU servers) and Apple (iCloud Drive on iOS, under the user's own Apple account). No data is shared with advertising networks, data brokers or any other third party.
Retention: Data on the device stays until it is deleted in the app or the app is uninstalled. Import requests are not stored after the response; server logs are kept for thirty days. Analytics events are retained by Mixpanel for twelve months. Crash reports are retained by Sentry for ninety days.
Your rights: Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the analytics and crash data associated with your installation, and you may object to its processing, by writing to matisiek11@gmail.com. Data on the device is under your control and can be removed in settings with Reset all apartments.
Children: The app is a tool for people renting a home and is not directed at children under 13; it does not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy: Material changes are published on this page with a new effective date.
